Biographical Information

A grandson of Sir Thomas Mitchell, Mann was born in New South Wales in 1863. He studied in Sydney and was assigned to catalogue the collection of the Art Gallery of NSW. Best known for his watercolour landscapes, he exhibited frequently in Sydney, later becoming director of the Art Gallery of NSW. His works are represented in several major collections.
