Biographical Information

Born in Western Australia in 1906, Herbert McClintock is a nephew of Alexander McClintock. He studied art at night classes at Melbourne National Gallery. Under the pseudonym of Max Ebert he painted in a surrealistic style, later turning to social realism. McClintock's work is represented in the Art Gallery of NSW. He died in 1985.
