Biographical Information

Born in Victoria in 1911, John Flexmore studied at the National Gallery School, Melbourne from 1930-37 under Bernard Hall, Charles Wheeler and W.B. McInnes. After war service he painted mostly watercolour landscapes, but was later commissioned to paint oil portraits. He held one-man shows at the Athenaem Gallery, Melbourne regularly until 1970. John Flexmore's work is represented in private collections in Australia and overseas. He died in 2003. Edit or add to this biography
