Biographical Information

Born in Victoria in 1944, Maggie May studied ceramics and graphics in Melbourne. A printmaker, ceramicist, sculptor and teacher, she held her first solo exhibition in 1978. She has held part-time lectureships in tertiary institutions in Melbourne. May's work is represented in the National Gallery of Australia and in state galleries in Melbourne and Perth.
