Biographical Information

Born in England in 1811 Owen was an Royal Navy officer. As captain of the Rattlesnake he surveyed the East and North-East coast of Australia. A topographical artist he sketched many previously unknown areas and peoples as well as animals and marine life. He died in 1850. Edit or add to this biography
