Biographical Information

Born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1887, Owen Merton was encouraged in watercolour painting by James Walsh of the Canterbury School of Art.

He made the first of many trips to Europe in 1904. He exhibited in Europe and USA and intermittently in New Zealand. Merton died in London in 1931, aged 44. Edit or add to this biography
